My deepest condolences on the loss of Frank. Although I haven't seen Frank in many years, I have so many fond memories of him stopping in for visits when I was a kid, seeing him at the farm with my Grandfather or when he would come into M&R Feeds to pick something up. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great man. ~ Erin Muldoon

I send my sincere condolences to Kim and Mike and all the family. I am the 87 year old cousin from Kirkland |ake, the daughter of Frank's mother's brother Jim Burns. I remember many days at the farm admiring cousin Frank's skill and humour and hard work. May he rest in peace and may you know peace too.

My condolences, Kim and Mike. Frank was a nice man and a good friend to my father, Bill Carss, for many years. I enjoyed seeing him when I was visiting – often at Christmastime when he would stop by to deliver some of Helen’s delicious baking. He was a regular at the farm where everyone liked his company and appreciated his skills, which included driving the combine during grain cropping.
I always recall, with a smile, a conversation in which I asked Dad if any younger folk had been helping him when he’d been out on the tractor doing field work, and he replied: “Frank”. Young Frank was just two years his junior, and they were both well into their 80s at the time.

Kim and Mike, I am so very sorry to read of the loss of your dad, but so very thankful that I was able to visit him before Christmas one morning and deliver some Christmas treats. My parents ( Fred and Gladys Carss) and your parents spend many a time together whether your dad helping my dad in the farm or them going to dances together. Sending our most sincere condolences at this most difficult time. They will all be together working and dancing again!

As I said at the time of George Colton's passing, another great Irish prince's eyes have closed their last, but his memory will remain. Like many of the Panmure Road Colton's of his generation, Frank was an anchor to his family, and he understood the value of hard work, and the value it brought to those around him.
Kim and Mike and to the extended Colton family please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your father, big brother, grandfather and uncle. Please know that our thoughts are with you

My deepest sympathy to Frank’s family. I worked with Frank for many years at James Landscaping. I was surprised a few days ago to hear he was in the hospital; he never seemed to age. He always came into the office to chat with me. He would tell me about being at some dance and how he had to dance with several of the ladies, because there were never enough men or how he had enjoyed some fiddle and step dancing competition. Lots of good memories. I’m sure Helen is happy to have him home with her.

I had the privilege of knowing Frank for the past 45 years or so, mostly through hunting. The last 6 years he was my neighbour on the Avenues. Such a wonderful caring man. RIP my friend. I'll miss our chats on the street.

Kim, Mike and all of the members of the Colton family, so sorry for your loss. Uncle Frank was very kind to me on all the visits I had to your childhood home with my father Bob, when we were all so much younger. He always had a kind word for me and asked about my life. That meant a lot to me as a child and still means a lot to me today. He will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

My Condolences to the Colton Family. I spent quite a few years working with Frank, George, Owen and Leo. They always made sure I earned my wage. I also had a few winter trips up to the camp with Frank to clear snow and put out hay for the deer. He told me stories of the old days and we shared a few laughs. He was a good man and mentor.

Very true…. “made sure I earned my wage”He had a tough shell but a soft heart. I learned many valuable lessons from him myself while working at James’. Quite a highlight as a teenager watching him pull from his garden an onion the size of an apple, then watch him eat it as though it was an apple… then he explaind the health benefits and likely something about hair on your chest. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore! He was a good man.
